Accessibility Statement
Everyone deserves a comfortable read. Here is what this site does about it.
My commitment
Saltmarsh Journal aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across every page, so the journal is usable with keyboards, screen readers, and reduced-motion settings.
What is in place
- Semantic landmarks, one main heading per page, and descriptive link text.
- Visible focus states and full keyboard access to navigation, filters, and forms.
- Labeled form fields with inline error messages announced to assistive technology.
- Real alt text on every photograph and decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
- Scroll animations that switch off automatically when reduced motion is requested.
- Text contrast that meets AA against every background used on the site.
Feedback
